I am qualified to work in several areas, stress management, eating disorders and CBT. With a humanistic approach, I offer a non judgemental attitude working with individuals to enable them to seek solutions to their current issues and experiences. Aiming to provide a safe environment that is confidential. Usually I would see people in my consulting room however I will visit people in their homes if necessary. For therapy to be effective regular sessions, I believe are necessary.
Working as I have over some years now I do not rule out assisting people with any issues that they present with or struggle with, this includes a lot of the areas listed above. I have many tools in my tool box and aim to offer them as appropriate.
My training is as you may expect, ongoing. Initially I trained at Chester College an extension of Liverpool university and achieved an advanced diploma in my field. Subsequently I have attended a variety of education institutes including Warwick university and trained with the National Centre for Eating Disorders where I achieved an advanced diploma, also the Centre for Stress Management from whom I also achieved a diploma in stress Management. I have also done extensive courses with Human Givens. Previously I have worked in a GP Practice, charities, and also in private practice.

I feel that for therapy to be effective the therapist and client need to be comfortable with each other therefore I suggest that the client and I either meet or talk to decides whether we can work effectively together. Bearing this in mind I am happy to arrange an initial meeting to decide if this can be achieved at a minimal cost of £10 for up to a half hour face to face meeting session if this would be helpful. Telephone enquiries are welcome. Deciding to engage with therapy requires effort and on that basis I like to think I acknowledge and respect the effort and courage required to make the move and seek assistance.
Addition support materials may be offered during consultations sessions or can be found on my "Support Materials" page.
