I am qualified to work in several areas, stress management, eating disorders and CBT. With a humanistic approach, I offer a non judgemental attitude working with individuals to enable them to seek solutions to their current issues and experiences. Aiming to provide a safe environment that is confidential. Usually I would see people in my consulting room however I will visit people in their homes if necessary. For therapy to be effective regular sessions, I believe are necessary.

Working as I have over some years now I do not rule out assisting people with any issues that they present with or struggle with, this includes a lot of the areas listed above. I have many tools in my tool box and aim to offer them as appropriate.

  • Social Distancing will be maintained at all times with regard to face to face consultations. The space used when receiving therapy will be cleaned after each person attends. Hand washing facilities will be provided for each person if required however hand sanitizer is also provided for those who would prefer that option.
  • Face to Face Consultations may well alter as a result of the current situation as dictated by either the Scottish or UK Governments changes their advice, therefore the options for therapy will be either by phone, e-mail or Zoom as suits the person wishing to access the facility. Once an appointment has been agreed please confirm your attendance or inability to attend by text or e-mail. As ever confidentiality and discretion are key elements. Currently I have appointments available on Mondays and Tuesdays, during the day or in the evenings.
  • Weekend appointments can be made where or when requested other days may be possible if more suitable and available.

I feel that for therapy to be effective the therapist and client need to be comfortable with each other therefore I suggest that the client and I either meet or talk to decides whether we can work effectively together. Bearing this in mind I am happy to arrange an initial meeting to decide if this can be achieved at a minimal cost of £10 for up to a half hour face to face meeting session if this would be helpful. Telephone enquiries are welcome. Deciding to engage with therapy requires effort and on that basis I like to think I acknowledge and respect the effort and courage required to make the move and seek assistance.
